Embark on an exhilarating adventure with Master Higgins in his daring quest to rescue his beloved girlfriend, Tina, from the clutches of the Evil Witch Doctor’s relentless followers. Prepare to traverse eight treacherous islands, each under the control of fearsome monster minions. However, fear not, for four friendly dinosaurs are eager to ally themselves with those brave enough to face the perils and overthrow their common oppressors. As you envision the gratitude that awaits you upon rescuing your favorite lady, join Master Higgins on a daunting journey to reach his honey.

Gameplay:

Experience the familiar rules of the original Adventure Island, enhanced with an exciting new inventory system. Prior to each stage, choose which of Higgins’ faithful animal companions to bring along, along with the option to equip one of the accumulated stone hammers. Be mindful that opting for a second hammer no longer grants the ability to shoot fireballs. Instead, it reserves the additional hammer for your inventory.

Bid farewell to the checkpoint system as you embark on stages. Should you meet an untimely demise, prepare to restart from the very beginning. However, take solace in the fact that the stages are considerably shorter than in the previous game. Unveil the locations of hidden eggs with distinct audio cues, offering clues to their whereabouts. Access the coveted bonus zones by collecting keys concealed within these eggs. Some keys may even transport you to item rooms or shortcuts to the next island. Prepare for new challenges, including underwater stages and vertical-scrolling levels.

When triumphantly completing a stage while riding a skateboard, keep in mind that it cannot be carried over to subsequent stages, unlike the previous game. As you finish a stage, indulge in a moment of choice by selecting one of ten spinning eggs, each offering a different point value. Additionally, enjoy the newfound ability to backtrack during a stage, albeit limited to a certain point.

Be ready to face the boss of each island, waiting for you at a designated stage from the start. However, beware of defeat, for a vanquished boss will relocate, compelling you to not only conquer your current stage but an additional one to confront the boss once again.

Discover the four magnificent dinosaur friends awaiting Higgins’ call. Unlock their presence by locating hidden eggs containing playing card suits. Ride the captivating blue camptosaurus (heart) capable of tail attacks and effortlessly traversing ice without slipping. Unleash the fiery power of the red camptosaurus (spade), enabling it to breathe fire and navigate lava until a specified point. Take to the skies with the pteranodon (clover), soaring over obstacles and unleashing stone projectiles. Finally, embrace the elasmosaurus (diamond), the sole dinosaur capable of surviving underwater stages and aiding Higgins in swift swimming. Note that the other dinosaurs will be lost once submerged.
